TAKE ACTION

IMPORTANT: Planners are hosting the second and final public open house on Zoom on Thursday, January 27th at 6pm to get feedback on their preferred design. What they chose is NOT car-free and we need student voices to show up and fight for a car-free Telegraph! Sign up and take action here!

For context: The City of Berkeley is planning its Southside Complete Streets Project right now. This plan will give space back to pedestrians, cyclists, and transit riders on Bancroft, Dana, Fulton, and Telegraph, and public participation is happening right now and the city is listening! We want the project to go even further on Telegraph. Telegraph is bustling with pedestrians fighting for space on cramped sidewalks, dangerous cars make the street uninviting to cyclists, and transit riders have to be stuck in traffic. A car-free Telegraph would solve all of this, and we believe the Southside Complete Streets plan is our window of opportunity to finally create a new Telegraph that benefits everybody.
